A little update

Hey guys,

I know, I know, its been a while since my last blog entry. I have been super busy
with color timing the short “Sallow Creatures” with the fantastic Apple Color application.
I am learning to love this new app more and more. The capabilities are just great. The short
was shot on the HVX200 using the PS Technik 35mm adapter with Arri Super Speed Lenses.

Here is an image from the opening scene:

Hope you like it :). I am also in pre-production of a short named
“Remembering Whiskey” which is going to be shot on Super16mm next weekend.
I can’t wait to start shooting. I am very excited for this shoot.

More to come soon guys. I’ll upload a first cut of “Sallow Creatures” from the first color
timing run.

Hey guys,After 1 hour of painful editing I finished to merge some new footage into a “Showreel” - or how
they call it. I am not awfully proud but maybe I’ll hire a real editor like my friends Brett and
Fred to do the job again, but I didn’t want to bother them this time. I up-converted all the
footage I had to DVCPRO HD 1080 Format - gotta love the new Final Cut Studio.

Hey Guys,

I was director of photography on 2 Videos for the Heinz Ketchup commercials challenge. Our crew was very small but all people were
really creative and fun to work with. Those videos were done without any budget and just pure creativity :-). So please vote for them because we want win the contest
and raise money for a feature film. Let me also know how you like them. But please give the maximum vote on them as
we need to have a lot of people voting for them in order to get into the final 15 where I will send out another email to you guys
to vote again.

ATTENTION: You need to create a YouTube account if you don’t have one yet in order to vote:

Hey guys,

I’ve been kept busy by shooting the scifi-short “Gatherers”. We shot 3 days so far and managed to finish off 3 major scenes. In the beginning we had some disagreements and had to get to know each other but that happens on every production, so I am looking forward to the next shooting dates in the end of June. The HVX200 camera we used turned out to be a good recording device and the workflow with the P2 cards worked out great.

This weekend I am shooting an interview for a documentary about Self Injury (SI), where we already shot some interviews a month ago. Monday and Tuesday the 11th and 12th I will be shooting another short film. The weekend after that I will be shooting some spec commercials.

As you see I am pretty busy with production - besides that I am taking a full load of classes at CCH and I also find time to spend with my lovely girlfriend.

more to come soon. I’ll be posting some productions stills as soon as I get some.

Peace
Markus

Hey people,

My girlfriend and I did a little stop-motion animation. It’s not completely done yet but we
managed to get a rough cut out:
